What is the NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is an Australian Government initiative that provides funding and support to people with permanent and significant disabilities. It’s designed to give participants greater choice and control over the services they receive, helping them live more independently and participate fully in their communities. The NDIS supports a wide range of needs, including personal care, transport, therapy, community access, and capacity-building programs. It also works with families and carers to ensure the participant’s goals are achieved in a meaningful and sustainable way.
