What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

SIL is a shared living experience for individuals with disabilities who have SIL funding in their NDIS plan. It is designed for individuals with higher support needs who require ongoing assistance, available 24/7, to help them live independently while maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment.

Our SIL services foster personal growth, independence, and community inclusion by providing comprehensive support in various aspects of daily living.

Daily Living Assistance

Support with personal care, meal preparation, household chores, and medication management tailored to individual needs.

Skill Development

Encouraging independence by developing life skills such as cooking, cleaning, maintaining a routine, and using public transport.

Providing companionship, personal safety supervision, and emotional encouragement to foster well-being and belonging.

What’s Not
Included in SIL?

While SIL covers personal care and home assistance, community participation, therapy, and other external support services may be funded under different areas of your NDIS plan. We can assist in coordinating these additional supports to ensure comprehensive care.

Our Respite Care services provide short-term accommodation and support, allowing individuals with disabilities to receive the care they need while their family caregivers take a well-deserved break. We offer flexible respite options to suit different needs and schedules.

Funding for Respite Care

NDIS funds respite care under the Short-Term Accommodation (STA) Line Item, which covers integrated support, including self-care, accommodation, food, and activities for short periods. While NDIS does not fund holidays, the supports provided during a trip can be funded under STA.
